Robin D. Erickson, Q.C.

Robin was born and raised in Hythe, Alberta. He attended the Grande Prairie Regional College in 1968 and graduated from the University of Alberta in 1972 with a Bachelor of Commerce (with distinction). He owned and operated a farm and feedlot for 14 years in Hythe prior to obtaining a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1989 from the University of Alberta. He successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course in 1987 while attending law school.

In 2012, Robin received his Queen's Council designation from the Provincial Government.

Robin's past community service includes being a member of the Kinsmen Club, member of Elks, member of the Peace River Board of Trade, Secretary of the Peace River Rotary Club, Elder of the Peace River Baptist Church, Chief Financial Officer of the Peace River Progressive Conservative Association and Chair of the Peace River Library Fund raising committee.

Robin is currently a member of Peace River Rotary and is the chair of the church council for the First Baptist Church.

Personally Robin enjoys travelling and spending time with his wife, children and 3 granddaughters.

Robin's practice consists primarily of real estate, corporate and estate planning.



 

Robert B. Marceau

Rob was born and raised in Peace River, he received his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (LL B) degrees from the University of Alberta. Rob was called to the Alberta bar in 1999 after articling to the Honourable Judge D.R. Shynkar.

While practicing with Mathieu Hryniuk LLP from 1999 to 2010 Robert was the standing agent for the Attorney General of Canada. During that time Robert gained extensive experience with major drug and tax prosecutions.

Robert is primarily a criminal trial lawyer and does some appeal work. He has successfully defended clients charged with murder, robbery, aggravated assault, sexual assault, fraud, drug trafficking, and all other forms of serious offences. His practice also extends to Occupation Health and Safety offences and environmental charges.

Rob is a member of the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association. Since 2014 he has been a member of the Legal Aid Appeal Committee which considers appeals from persons denied coverage for legal services. Robert has been a principal of and mentor to articling students and young lawyers.

Outside of the legal profession Robert and his wife, Raelene, are actively involved in the pursuits of their two children, including: members of Peace Region Dance Society, Peace River Minor Hockey, Peace River Porpoises swim club and Peace River ski club.

Rob appreciates that those charged with criminal offences incur personal, professional and financial stress. He brings his experience and diligence to each individual situation. In proceeding to trial or in making efforts to resolve a matter Robert does his best to ensure the client is aware of the possible outcomes and expectations.

Colin A. Gagnon

Colin A. Gagnon was born and raised in Peace River. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology at the University of Alberta. In 2003, Colin earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université de Moncton and joined the firm as an articling student. In 2006, Colin became a partner of the firm.

 

Colin practices in the area of Real Estate, Corporate, Commercial and Estate. Colin services a number of areas including High Prairie, McLennan, Falher and Peace River.

 

Colin is involved in numerous organizations, especially in the Francophone community as director in the committee for the St. Isidore Carnival, a director in the Association des Juristes d’Expression Français and former treasurer of the Regional ACFA, CREF and CKRP.

 

Colin is married and has two children. He enjoys snowboarding, playing cards and golf.

 

 

 

Boyd E. Langford

Boyd, originally from Saskatoon, enjoyed a business career in the transportation industry spanning more than 20 years prior to articling with the firm in 2004, and he was offered a partnership upon admission to the bar in 2005. Boyd attended the University of Saskatchewan for both his B.A. and LL.B. degrees. He and his family, including three children, relocated to Rainbow Lake in 2001, and Boyd, his wife Tanys, and their youngest daughter Sydney still reside there. Their oldest two daughters have since returned to Saskatchewan, and they currently have two grandchildren.

Boyd practices in the areas of real estate, corporate, commercial and criminal law, and works primarily from our High Level office, but has office hours in La Crete each Thursday and sees clients by appointment in Rainbow Lake. Boyd has been a Councillor for the Town of Rainbow Lake since 2002 and is currently the Mayor.

In addition to many volunteer activities for various community groups, Boyd also sits on the Boards of the Regional Economic Development Initiative for Northwest Alberta, Mackenzie Municipal Services Agency and the High Level Forests Public Advisory Group, and is also a Director of the High Level Oilmen’s Association. Previously he served as President of the Rainbow Lake & District Chamber of Commerce, and was a Board Member and Chair of the Rainbow Lake Victim Services Unit and Rainbow Lake Community Advisory Committee. Boyd and his family enjoy various motorsports, golfing and spending time at their cabin on the Little Smoky River with their two Golden Retrievers.
 

 

K. Jaimie Warne

Jaimie was born and raised in Peace River, graduating with a bilingual diploma from Peace River High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. During this degree, she completed a psychological internship with two psychologists who performed neuropsychological assessments for personal injury and insurance litigation, and parenting assessments for custody litigation. Jaimie then completed her Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University, where she completed a Family Law Placement and earned a specialization in Environmental Law from the Marine and Environmental Law Programme. Jaimie returned to Peace River to article and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2011. She started practicing at Mathieu Hryniuk LLP in 2013. Jaimie primarily practices Family Law.

Since 2011, Jaimie has been on the Board of Directors for the Peace River Victim Services Unit. She became Vice President of this program in 2013.

 

 

Davin D. May

Davin was born and raised in Manning, Alberta. Upon graduation from high school, Davin moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. In 2009 he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree and in 2012 his law degree. Davin was called to the bar in July 2013 and continued to practice with a firm in Grande Prairie until the summer of 2014.  He started with Mathieu Hryniuk LLP in September 2014 and became a partner January 1, 2015.


Davin practices in the area of Real Estate, Wills, Corporate, and Commercial.

He is involved in various community organizations.  Currently, Davin is Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Condy Meadows Golf Course, Vice-President of the Manning Comets Senior Hockey Team, and is a director of the Manning Petroleum Association.


In his spare time Davin enjoys hockey, golf, snowboarding, wakeboarding and various other outdoor activities.
